An exploration of teaching strategies and a discussion of prominent pedagogical issues across the range of disciplinary areas in Music, with emphases on teaching courses in music appreciation, musicianship, Western music theory and history, music in specific world areas, and performance. Pedagogies of writing, both as a special challenge in music courses and as a general aspect of instruction, will be given special attention.
