Description
This course will provide students of plant organismal biology the basic computational tools needed for processing and extracting data from text and image files. Students will be taught basic UNIX command line tools and introductory PERL programming. An overview of relational database structure and SQL queries will be provided. Techniques for querying and managing DNA sequence databases will also be covered.
