Description
This course follows from Research Methods in Human Dev I and continues to advance students' knowledge pertaining to theory-based research design and methodology in developmental psychology. Accordingly evaluations will be based on activities resembling those employed as a working developmental researcher. This goal will be accomplished through various methods including (but not limited to) a review of research design, sampling and measurement issues; critiquing the research literature; addressing ethical considerations associated with the research process; and a hands-on review of research writing and the journal publication process. Student will be expected to begin to identify a research question and come up with a workable research design to answer the question.
