Description
The purpose of this course is to supplement Research Methods in Human Developmental Psychology II. One focus of the course is readings and in-depth discussions about methodological issues with invited faculty on their areas of methodological expertise. We will also consider 'behind the scenes' methodological issues that may affect research success, such as best practices in developmental studies data management, demonstration of research-related software applications, and understanding the results reported in empirical papers. Finally, we will engage in writing and design critiques for the research proposal assignment in the Research Methods course.
