Course Title
Integrative Foundations in Psychotherapy
Department(s)
Description
This course is designed to introduce students to the evolution of thinking about the theory and practice of psychotherapy and to the major orientations to therapeutic practice in the present. It aims to show how ideas introduced early in the history of the field have been transformed as they have been assimilated by successive new approaches and how even ideas from older approaches that seem to be rejected by newer versions have been silently influential in shaping the options that theorists and therapists have envisioned.
