This course will pro9vide an opportunity for graduate students (and advanced undergraduates) to critically examine research into what is arguably the most "human" of memory systems - long-term declarative memory - and its instantiation if the brain. The course will start with the basics and then move to "hot" topics of current controversy that nonetheless have their basis in the central tenets of the field.
