Special Topics in Computational Fundamentals

Description

This practice-based computer lab introduces students to core concepts in one of the computational processes used in developing digital scholarly projects. Upon completion of this course, students will have gained hands-on experience in fundamental computing concepts with one programming, scripting, or markup language. Students will strive for introductory literacy with this material, which they will demonstrate by reading, interpreting, and modifying existing code, as well as by writing basic original code to perform common computational tasks. Students are expected to expand on the foundational work in this class in further coursework and original research.
