The “Special Topics in International Migration” course is designed to address crucial, and timely, immigration topics. It will be targeted to the particular needs and interests of IMS students, covering subjects that will deepen and extend their interdisciplinary understanding of the field. Examples of topics may include, but are not limited to, issues of assimilation and integration; cross-national comparisons; regional or territorial analyses; methodological approaches to international migration; refugees and forced migrants; and literary representations of the immigrant experience.
